High school is a huge deal, especially if you live in Sandy Creek, New York where everyone knows everyone. You have to be popular or you're no one. If you're popular and you date a nobody they become popular. I've always been popular and I have no idea how. The whole place is also super homophobic and transphobic. Also I fall in love with a nobody, and he's the greatest guy ever, except he's transgender. If I date him will I be hated? My name is Elizabeth Ambler and this is my first year in high school, and this is my story of how I fell in love.
