Brayson and Alexis don't want to be remembered has the kids of Missy and Patrick Jane. They want to be known for what they want to do, and that doesn't involve crime. They plan on leaving it all, but something happens. An attack on the CBI base has lead to Missy and Patrick missing, or possibly dead. Brayson and Alexis can't let their parents be hurt, so they stay to help find them. They might even learn a little about the Jane's and about themselves.
*Note* Do not own Mentalist characters, only the ones I made up.
