In a taunting voice, Reggie added, "Gee, Betty, it must be hard having a crush on some loner who doesn't even like girls."
Betty raised her eyebrows, wordlessly commanding him to leave.
"Did you hear me, Goldilocks?"
"Oh I heard you, I just don't care. Time for you to leave, Reggie, you're not getting anywhere with me."
On the outside, Betty Cooper was the perfect girl. A straight A student, sweet and kind, a play-by-the-rules kind of girl.
Archie Andrews was her next door neighbor and best friend, athletically inclined, and though somewhat lacking in intellect, he was sincere and devoted. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, and everyone couldn't help but believe that Archie and Betty, young though they were, would someday end up together.
But in this group there was another friend, Jughead Jones, a cynical, sardonic aspiring writer. He didn't always feel like he fit it with Betty and Archie. But somehow, he felt like he belonged with them, though he couldn't place why.
Betty Cooper always lived in a world where everyone else told her what to do. The time came when escaping was the only thought on her mind, even if she didn't know where to go. Anywhere would be better than home. When she meets Jughead Jones after falling asleep in a park, she doesn't expect anything to happen afterwards. They hit it off and soon she was staying with him. She never expected that small offer to turn into her becoming almost codependent on him, something she was trying to avoid. Although, she noticed as time moved on and the things she felt for him grew, she wanted to give everything to him and would give everything to be with him.
