Small town girl and Penn State drop-out Bellona Reynolds never expected to be accepted into Starfleet Academy. Her mother was terrified of it, her father was constantly gone, and her older brother Janus wasn't accepted when he applied. When a letter comes one morning telling her about the things she needed to buy, Bellona didn't hesitate. She wanted to be a Lieutenant Commander on a Starship, hopefully finishing her medical career. She's always been the smartest of her family, the more motivated one, but what will 4 years at the Academy do to her when she runs into obstacles like heartache, confusion, and worst of all falling for somebody who is seemingly impossible to love her back? Will it break her or will she manage to pull through?

"Maybe it's time we stopped trying to stay away from each other," I said, surprising myself with my confidence. A tiny smirk of a smile skittered across his top lip, and before he could say anything in response, I stood on my tiptoes and crushed my lips to his. ****************************** Spock is a Vulcan, he abhors all emotional responses. Alex is completely different, and everything Spock doesn't want. She's crude, messy, unorganised and has a laugh like a drunken hyena. Spock dislikes her from the offset, but as they get closer together, can the two of them prove that opposites really do attract? Rated for swearing (SERIOUSLY I SWEAR A LOT IN MY WRITING BE W A R N Ed) and a few sexual situations (one of the chapters nearer the end is for 18+ only, you'll know when you get to it) ************************* A Slow-Burn Spock OC romance with oodles of sass and tension, read the first chapter and see what you think... Reveiws (from ff.net) 'This is so adorable, I genuinely had to stop reading a few times to fangirl. Please continue soon, this was amazing to read and I aspire to be as good a writer as you. Also everyone should read this, it's cracking.' 'I don't usually review but I feel this fanfic deserves it as it captures the characters amazingly, the writing is witty and spectacular, the story is awesome and I am always left wanting more, thank you for providing this fanfic, it's amazing. Also I look forward to more sass between Spock and Birchwood.'

LONG LISTER IN THE OPEN NOVELLA CONTEST 2019! A/n This story does not strictly take place in the timeline of Star Trek:The Original Series or the recent movie reboots. Occurrences from both may be referenced. Whether you prefer to picture the original cast and practical effects, or the new actors with CGI, or some combination of the two, I hope you enjoy the story. This is just a simple fan fiction written for the Open Novella Contest 2019. If you see this story anywhere besides Wattpad please make me aware. This is the only place I post stories. I don't have multiple accounts on this site, so this is the only profile this story should be posted on. Thank you, readers. I don't not own Star Trek or its characters.
