In the future, all of the world and its people reflect only black, gray, and white, save for a population, the Lights, that decreases by the years.
Ellen Dawn is now the last Light to exist. She is feared by everyone around her, referred to as a Color, not a Light, and is forced on the outskirts of town, though she chooses to stay for the sake of the Normals. Lucky for her, one Normal can see past the "danger" she reflects to see who she is on the inside.
