In a harrowing reality that is not too far off from our very own, precious resources have been dwindling down to a near non-existent, as the human population has skyrocketed at an alarming rate and has consequentially reached the maximum carrying capacity of 10 billion people worldwide. World leaders have struggled for centuries to find balance and peace among the unrest, yet it was the very formation of the United Nation of Ilyria, did restoration and order begin to occur... At a price... ***Author's note*** This short story was inspired by the harrowing truths and reality of "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood. ~Enjoy!!!
