The light is pain. Light only haunts me when I'm awake. That's why the drug induced coma is like relief that washes over my senses, blinding them to the harsh outside- the light. 

I told her that, but she still doesn't understand. I'm happy now, I like it here. Nobody bothers me. I'm a better version of myself. 

She wants me to change.

This is the story of a "recovering" drug addict, who wants nothing more than to be underneath the haze of highness, who's to afraid to be their real selves so they cover up with drugs, cutting, and not eating. They love their illness and don't care that their mom still wants them alive, because they sure don't.
