Kalen is a young troll shaman, with an unhealthy fascination for humans and a contract to serve the Unseelie court for eternity.

Rye is an elven knight of the Seelie court who owes Kalen the life of a dear friend and no way to pay him other then with his service.

Kalen does not want the service of a knight, let alone from the opposing court.

Rye will do anything to steer Kalen's fascination away from humanity and more toward a certain knight sworn to serve.

This is a story of how nothing is ever as it seems.
