For years Amy had been chasing after Sonic desperately for his love and affection, yet Sonic never did return Amy's feelings. It didn't matter since Amy knew Sonic would always be there to save her whenever she was in trouble, and she loved it. But as she grew older, she began to get annoyed with this. She still loved Sonic and wanted him to just once tell her he loved her, but she didn't like that Sonic came to save her when she had it handled. She would now yell at Sonic that she didn't need him all the time, yet Sonic never quit saving her. All of this was a never ending cycle until one day when a man had asked Amy to serve as a midwife to his wife who was in labor. When Amy and Sonic broke into another one of their arguments Amy had wished that for once Sonic would understand how she truly felt.
