A Fading Mind

"We should've left her alone," she said.
"You don't think I know that? How the hell was I supposed to know she'd be different?" I snapped.
"She's a ticking bomb, and if we don't do something soon..."
"No, she's a necessity. If we're ever going to take down that disgusting lab then we need her on our side. If she ever leaves this organization and joins a third party, our best squadron will follow in her steps."
"She doesn't even know a fraction of what she can do yet. We've got to find out the extent of her power. She has to learn how to control it."
"I'm putting you in charge of that. You're someone she trusts. Keep it that way." I stood up and walked out of the room. It's going to be one hell of a night.
