Kira has a pretty rough life. When she was little her mom left one night and never came back, her dad started drinking and became an alcoholic and started getting violent.
Life at school isn't much easier. Kids calling her names and picking on her. And taking care of her younger brother isn't easy.
And she thinks shes all alone... But will something change in her life? Will things get better, or worse? Just gonna have to read to find out...
