Dream Unicorns

The world where the dream unicorns inhabit is called the Subconscious World. They can go between this realm and the realm you and I are in (the Conscious world) via unicorn magic that instantly transports them to the same spot in the parallel worlds. The appearance of the Subconscious World is easy to imagine! Simply picture the scene in front of you, turn it grayscale, and then invert it so darks and lights flip over.

The only difference would be that the moon is visibly larger in the sky, the stars are colourful, shooting stars are quite common, and there are many pyroelectric crystals throughout the trees, shrubbery, and in small craters in the ground.

Dreams are actually small packets of electrical energy that come from the crystals (in the shape of glowing blue butterflies) as they are heated by the core of the Subconscious World.

(Pyroelectric crystals generate electricity when they are heated. The heat causes electrical charges to flow from one end of the crystal to the other and eventually bud off as a dream butterfly)
