Yet, he keeps a smile on his face, praying that things will get better for him in the long run. 

Life is one big problem. You can't escape it but, you can overcome whatever it throws at you. You can't escape love but, you can work it out. There are problems to solve and everyone has their own. In order to truly escape them, you'll have to dig deep. Not on the outside but, the inside.
