Die vier Gopniks Boris, Dmitri, Sergey und Yuri sind die Angehörigen einer kleinen Gang die die Straßen Arstotzkas, einer Stadt in Russland, unsicher machen. Doch an einem verschneiten Sommer Montag Morgen ist etwas anders als sonst, denn Yuri ist nicht zu dem täglichen treffen am Pavlovich See erschienen. Seine Begründung: er hat einen Job gefunden. Jetzt versuchen die anderen ihn aus den Klauen des Kapitalismus zu befreien damit sie ihren Freund ein letztes mal zu Gesicht bekommen.
