Birthday on The Moon
A coming of age tale that follows Adrian as he is engrossed in his life at home his books. A 12-year-old boy that has not seen the world and wants adventure but does not dare step out the door, instead of spends his time alone, often with his dog and reads a lot. Along came his Grandpa that saw this adventurous spark in him. After setting a challenge for Adrian to prove himself he takes him on his first adventure out of the house and to Moon to help him hunt cheese with Grandpa, along with Woody, their dog. But they are on a race against time, and against nature, to get back home in time for his 13th birthday party as his parents do not fully agree with him stepping outside of the house and going on dangerous adventures. "Travel is for troublemakers" he was always told. It is a mix of Rick and Morty in a sense of character dynamics, different locations and tools used, but without the profanity. As well as a mixture of TinTin and his adventures as well as having a dog as a companion. It is also partially inspired by H.G Wells' 1901 novel 'The First Men in the Moon'. The first novel that I ever started writing. They say don't talk and drive, and now I know why. Although, not for the reason you might think. I accidentally hit my alpha mate with my truck. Bet the insurance won't cover that. I wish I could say my story was this; It's raining while I'm driving home, I hit a dog, get out to help it surprise it's not a dog but a hot werewolf that I fall in love with under the beautiful stars. Sadly, not true. I hit the dog then have to help it and end up with my surprisingly genius best friend that's a wolf and that's all I think he is, but unfortunately I am one of the humans that believes werewolves are just fairytales. I learn the hard way by watching my pet wolf turn into a human to which I run away screaming and end up unconscious because I ran into the wall, hard.
