There's something strange brewing in Pyrrhia. Everyone's seeing strange glints of silver out of the corner of their eye. A SkyWing is found with sacred knowledge he refuses to share. Volcanoes are acting up with no logical explanation. Everything seems to be going haywire. Some say it's the end. Some say there's Hope. But Hope is a murderer and she's got a thief with her. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁... 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝘆? Life in the rainforest is peaceful. The RainWings live in a place where everything is shared. Food is plentiful, no one ever fights, and even in the midst of war, the kingdom is quiet. Chameleon would never expect anything bad to happen in the forest. A normal dragonet at first, Chameleon discovers that the RainWings are anything but nice. After a nasty encounter, he gains a snout deformity that affects his scales. He suddenly discovers that he has no respect, no friends, and no hope. Eventually, Chameleon is exiled for one simple reason: He is different from everyone else. And then the RainWings do something that Chameleon would never forgive them for. Brimming with fury, Chameleon sets out to prove everyone that indeed he is different- but better than them all. But nothing could prepare Chameleon for what he discovers out in the wilds of Pyrrhia- something so influential that not even Chameleon himself could grasp the true power of it. Now he discovers he has a chance of rewriting his identity, his history, and his future. At last, Chameleon has the potential to make a difference... but what will this scarred, bitter dragon do with his newfound power? _____________________________________________________________ Chameleon ran over to Moss, who was crying, her wings askew. "Did you kill them?" he whispered to Moss. Moss looked up at Chameleon, her eyes glistening with tears. "No," she choked. "You know I wouldn't. That monster- Jaguar- pinned it on me. I promise, Chameleon. I didn't kill anyone. Why are they blaming it on us? What did we do?" "I have an idea," said Chameleon quietly, dangerously. He hissed. "Being different. That's what happened." He drew himself up and curled his claws in. "Trust me, Moss, I will get my revenge." Because no one should be punished for being different. _____________________________ [DISCONTINUED BOOK]

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Recent events have cancelled this old, old story. However! The synopsis for the rest of the chapters I had planned for the sequel, Cloudborn, are at the end of the second book along with the planned third book I had planned to write. Feel free to enjoy the unfinished, old story as you please. And please remember that the new upcoming revamp is a side project that will not have my full attention, so it will not be guaranteed completion. However, the storyline is the exact same as the original Iceborn. So you needn't worry about being left in the dark! (Book 1 of the Iceborn Series) Years after the Dragonets of Destiny. Generations after the defeat of Darkstalker. Pyrrhia has been at peace for as long as their queens could remember. But the hatching of a special dragon might change the course of Pyrrhia's peaceful reign. A twin IceWing egg, hatching twin Dragonets. One with too much ice, the other with too little. Blizzard the IceWing is Iceborn. After being accused of murdering another of her kind, Blizzard is forced to flee the Ice Kingdom or be killed. While on the run, Blizzard runs into two very peculiar dragons. Two dragons with strange symbols on their bodies. Two dragons from a faraway land. A land where Blizzard could start over. A land called Magisalla. The Wings of Fire series Belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is merely a fanfiction. NOTE: This story was created before the announcement of the Lost Continent.

All while he tries to keep his true identity a secret from his new friends. But when something starts to pull the strings on his mind and the world around him, it's clear something much more sinister is on the horizon. As such he finds himself risking it all to save a world he's not even supposed to exist in. As well as having to make the choice.. If living life as dragon... Is worth leaving his human life behind. ---------------------------- Hello fellow WoF readers this is only my second story and my first based on WoF so expect errors. I accept any ideas and Constructive criticism (don't be too harsh please) so come along for the ride. NOTE: Things may seem off within 4h story such as: A confusing timeline, unexplained plot holes, out of character reactions, etc. All I can say is that they're in there on purpose for the most part and will be explained as you read through the story. So if you're confused, don't worry about it, it'll likely be answered later. Also warning that this book contains some swearing every now and then. Thanks to @StormingFire555 for the cover design.
