Sweat dripping down my face, arms, and legs. My breath hinges as Hailee and Sophia pass the ball in. There's approximately 1 minute and 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter. All the screaming fans fill the bleachers, our school colours bouncing up and down mixed in with our rivals. I take a look in the crowd and see my dad, he has one of the biggest smiles on his face. I don't think he's ever been more proud than now. I shake my head and focus back on the game. Hailee comes down the court the ball in her left hand her weak hand. The defense comes back strong with open arms and wide stances. She fakes to the right, goes behind the back, and then through the legs. Hailee made it to the high post, I fake towards the goal, then spin to the corner. As soon as I was open the ball is in my hands. I grip the ball, square up to the goal and put my arms in the air and jump... but before I can tell you what happened let me explain how I got here.

This story is y/n (you) falls in love with a football player (an oc of mine). More info: Y/N is a 16 going on 17 year old female, in her Junior year of high school. It's her first day at a new school, a random person Airdropped her something and they begin to chat. This mystery guy is 17 and also his Junior year and is a football player. She knows nothing about him so she's determined to learn more. What she finds out shocks her completely. Preview: "Y/n! Come on let's go!" "Yeah! You are going to make us late!" "God! I'm coming I'm coming! I just needed to grab something." I said walking out to them. "Is that a book?" "Yeah- I really need to know what happens! I'm almost done with it, once I finish I'll watch the game don't worry." I assured the two of them. "Okay want ever you say." We left to go to the game finding a close-to-the-front seat. The three of us sat, we already bought some drinks and snacks. The game soon started and I began to read. "Player down!" Someone yelled as they ran a crossed the field. My head snapped up to get a look and I saw number 22 sitting up with one leg bent and the other laying on the ground. He seamed calm. "Alright, let's get you up," some one said kneeing next to number 22. "No no, I'm fine. Help them, they may be out, he is not responding to me." 22 insisted. Once the others heard this they ran to the other person, 85 from the other team. 22 glanced at the bleachers, briefly making eye contact with me, he then quickly looked back, almost as if doing a double take. He held the eye contact this time, I gave him a small smile and he gave me a sweet smile. "He smiled at you!" "It was just a smile," I said going back to my book. "You have a crush." "You definitely do, but we won't say anything, yet." I rolled my eyes at both of them. They were right, no, maybe. He was cute, the way his hair fell, and how he put the other player before himself. I thought it was cute.
