As I finished my pancakes and carried the dishes to the sink to clean up, I said, "Yeah, I am ready," still feeling nervous about what was happening with this enigmatic guy.
"She has agreed to meet you, but you will face the consequences if you ever hurt her," he said in a smooth voice after taking out his phone and dialing a number.
Even though he had already agreed, I simply raised an eyebrow at him as my eyes widened at his protective demeanor.
