My story is based off of how i imagine my life to turn out. I've done softball before only for 1 season when I was still in middle school. Now as a junior at RidgeWood HighSchool, I decided to start up softball once again as I did in my 10th grade year also, to work towards a scholarship.
My story will start me finishing up my last 3 weeks of being a junior. And how my life will go. The story will go up to as far as college graduation.

The Comeback
*past* "Just leave Mary Grace." Teddy says to me with a blank stare, but I could see sadness built around them. "But Teddy, why-" I begin to say as a tear falls down my cheek. "No one wants you here loser. Ted never liked you. He just felt sorry for you." Savannah Oak says beside Teddy. I look to Teddy knowing that he'll stick up for me like he always does, but he is just staring at the floor. "Is that true?" I ask looking at him. He looks up and nods. "Dont you have a flight to catch?" Paige asks with a smirk. Tears Fall down my face, Savannah rolls her eyes and walks away. "Goodbye Mary Grace." Teddy says closing the door. I slowly turn around and hop back on my bike. How could he do this to me? We've been friends since we were little. He turned out to be just like the rest of them. He never did like me. I ride my bike home sobbing. "Mary Grace what happened?" My sister Anna Maria says running over to me. As I push my bike onto the driveway. "I never want to comeback here again!" A Field of Dreamers
Our path into the college baseball recruiting experience started much like most other families in youth baseball: We knew nothing. What originally started out as an activity to play on the weekends with our sons and their friends, grew over the years into a lifestyle never expected. 19 years later, two of my sons have been successfully recruited to play college baseball, and my oldest has just completed his 3rd season of professional baseball. After watching my sons play baseball in Park City, Utah, where we average 411-inches of snow annually, I'd agree. Yet despite our own success, too many deserving high school players continue to fail in their own efforts to realize the same dream, and I believe this rate of failure is only due to a lack of education and perspective of the recruitment process itself - and what the player must do to prepare himself to become recruited for the next level of baseball. My family has been incredibly-blessed with the opportunities extended, and it's time to give back: I want to help other players realize their dream of playing college baseball too! "Oh fuck no, this can't happen, why me?" he says with a mixture of anger and frustration in his face. "What's your full name?" he asks me while looking if they were any people passing by. "Amelia knight" I mutter lowly. "Well Amelia, I really don't want the Luna of the biggest pack of America be a fucking little nerd who can't even defend herself. My Teddy
The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. Bittersweet
|| COMPLETED || I want to be ready for college, but I'll be leaving everything behind. I don't want to forget my mom, my friends, or the memories made. Then again, I want to move on, run away from the heart break following me. I want to be free, I need to be free. For everything that I know, college could be a restart for highschool. A time where I don't make mistakes or where bad things don't happen, but I know they will. Though focusing on the negative won't lead me anywhere. Sadly though, that's all I ever learned to focus on. Learning things about my family that disgust me, learning about family members I didn't even know existed. It's all new, like morphing into a new body, you have to learn how to control. Sadly I don't know how to control myself, I can't control my emotions. I want to be ready for college, I am.
