Daughter Of A Mermaid

"Isn't she fintastic? " said the mother of the newborn.
"But she has legs"said the father.

"Can't we transform her?"pleaded the mother.

"We can, but only when she turns 16" said the father.

Tears rolled down the mothers cheek.

She took out a sea shell from her crown and placed it in her palm closing her fist, she chanted a spell and revealed a necklace with the shell and placed it on her daughters neck. "Next queen of the oceans" she whispered.

While the father wrote a note.

They swam to the shore and left the little baby with the note on the warm sand.
