What would you do if your society sent two people to death if they didn't master the powers thrust upon them in a year?
----
I'm Aria. I'm 16 and a complete nerd. I'm in Grade 09, a year from my Choosing. I have two older brothers, so its their Choosing year. I live in New New York in the Trost Region. I have two best friends, Eren and Vera. Eren, who's a year above Vera and me, confuses me with the constant flirting but he never acts on any of his words. Vera is one of my favorite people in the entire world with her quips and sarcasm.

I live in a community where Elders watch everything and every five years pick two people with a special dynamic, give them abilities, and maybe even sentence the two to death if they don't master the powers in the year after. Sadly it's one of the Chosen years. I hope nobody I know actually gets Chosen.
