In a world split between three different species, knowing your place is essential. The protection that comes with your standing is the key to surviving. For Rune, this had always been difficult. He spent his life running from all three major players in the game. If only he could run from the war. The humans may win a few battles, but they lack the capability to defeat the others. The Ferals were to wild to consider siding with. They wouldn't be able to do anything even if they won. Then there were the Primals. The deadliest creatures roaming the Earth, the perfect mixture between the humans and the Ferals. The war was going to be fought, Rune could only hope he was on the winning side.

When you're between a rock and a hard place you need to make a decision. Anthony decided to survive. He didn't need friends. He didn't need a past. He certainly didn't need a team. All he needed to do was put one foot in front of the other and shield as many survivors behind him as he could. Because when his world was thrown into chaos and he was crushed into nothing, someone held out their hand. He's just passing on the favour. This is the story of how he fared in that decision. Did he succeed in his mission? Did he fail? And did he do it alone?
