Beautiful Things

This is just where I write this one really long story that I've been dreaming about for ages. . . Don't judge. I don't control my dreams. . . Some of it I added for interest.

Gabriella Gibbons, best known to all as Briar, was kidnapped at the age of fourteen and thrown into an Arena, where for three years she learned how to kick ass, and for twenty years after that, she gets to actually do the ass-kicking.
When she finally escapes, she has to relive all twenty-three years of hell to help the police find the men who had screwed up her life so royally.

"Reliving a nightmare is hell." Cooper sighed.
"But it's always better than the first time." I said, looking at him with a sad smile.
"Why's that?" He asked.
"Because we can always wake up."
