When sixteen-year-old Melody Goldman is in a car crash, the part of her brain that allows her to see is… damaged. Now blind, she realizes how many of the things she loves to do are impossible now. Reading. Writing. Band.

She refuses to allow that to stop her. This is her last year of high school. She wants to finish things right. She wants to march in the marching band.

Can she do it?

A/N: I've noticed that this book gets a lot of attention from my fellow band students. I'm very sorry to say that I'm not currently working on any new chapters, nor do I think I will be in the forseeable future. I am very sorry to disappoint, but I wasn't sure where the plot was going, and in the distant future, I just couldn't see this book as being something I could publish. It was just a funny little side project for me, and then I started getting comments on my page about it, and I felt guilty about leaving everyone hanging, so I'm just clearing the air.

"It's beautiful" I sigh. "Yes it is" Blaze whispers next to me. I looked at him and saw he was just staring at me. "Why are you staring?" "Because it's a beautiful view" I lightly hit him and laugh. "I think I'm psychic" he blurts out. "Why?" I laugh at the randomness. "Because I can see you in my future" he laughs with me. "Is this a cheesiness competition?" I raise my eyebrow. "It wouldn't be a competition if I already won" "Cocky much?" "You love me though" "Nah" I laugh. "Let's start!" "Roses are red violets are blue, I can't rhyme but can I date you?" "No, but that was good" I admit and start thinking."Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you everyone else disappears," I grin proudly. "Was your dad king for a day?" he starts. "No, why?" "He must have been to make a princess like you," he winks and I roll my eyes with a smile. I pretended to receive a call and he frowns at me. I put the phone down and pretend look worried. "Who was it?" he asks. "The cops, there was a theft" I say. "What? By who?" he looks really worried that I almost feel guilty. "I told them you stole my heart" I laugh and he just stares at me. "You got me but you know what? I'd never play hide and seek with you because someone like you is impossible to find" he smirks. "Fine, you won" I groan. "Teach me your ways, Sensei" -*- What if you only have 31 days to live? What would you do? Sulk and be contented of the short-lived life? Catherine Walsh is a normal girl with an abnormal situation. In this adventurous and romantic story, will love conquer all situations? -*- WARNING: This book has a lot of uncensored swearing, read with caution.

"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. But when they don't listen, how can I communicate that to them? It's so frustrating." Allie is a high school student and has big plans to make the world a better place. But her own head is pitting against her, throwing rocks in her path on a daily basis. Everything seems to be great for a while but what happens when her world suddenly comes crashing down around her? Can she ever recover? A coming-of-age story that deals with mental ilnesses, grief, first loves and family, briefly taps into the subject of religion and will likely enrapture you. Trigger warning: mental illnesses, self harm, death, dealing with grief, mentions of guns and gun control, mentions of cults, mentions of homophobia, dissociation. Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)

*~*~* REWRITTEN AND PUBLISHED AS HUNTINGTON AVENUE ON MY PROFILE *~*~* Zachary West has it all. Near-perfect grades, a kind, loving family, and is a guitar prodigy. Seems like a wonderful life, right? Most good things come with at least one catch, though: He's blind. Following a move from Washington to New York, Zach struggles to fit in with everyone else. Little did he know that high school across the country would be extremely different than back home. He would endure new town, new home, new friends, but also new hardships. Will Zach find a way to fit in with his new surroundings? Then, there's Kelsey Davis, one of the popular girls of the school. She's beautiful, charming, and, of course, she can be a bit questionable. Luckily, there's almost always a side to people that nobody sees. Hanging out with the wrong crowd has gotten to Kelsey's nerves, but she doesn't want to leave her friends. Having such a reputation with the entire school has extremely high standards, and she can't meet them anymore. Will everything change when she notices a unique boy among the crowds who might need a friend? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Disclaimer: This is the very first book that I ever wrote. It was created in the Fall of 2018 by a 15-year-old girl who had no idea how to construct and develop a story. It's still a very precious story to my heart and I will always keep it published here. :) Word Count: ~70,000-75,000
