When sixteen-year-old Melody Goldman is in a car crash, the part of her brain that allows her to see is… damaged. Now blind, she realizes how many of the things she loves to do are impossible now. Reading. Writing. Band. 

She refuses to allow that to stop her. This is her last year of high school. She wants to finish things right. She wants to march in the marching band. 

Can she do it?

A/N: I've noticed that this book gets a lot of attention from my fellow band students. I'm very sorry to say that I'm not currently working on any new chapters, nor do I think I will be in the forseeable future. I am very sorry to disappoint, but I wasn't sure where the plot was going, and in the distant future, I just couldn't see this book as being something I could publish. It was just a funny little side project for me, and then I started getting comments on my page about it, and I felt guilty about leaving everyone hanging, so I'm just clearing the air.Seluruh Hak Cipta Dilindungi Undang-Undang

Now Kylie has to deal with four new issues; her parent's immature fights, avoiding her ex, improving her grades, and keeping the band from falling apart. All of this, and putting up with a guy in the rival band that is so cocky yet so cute. With these newfound troubles, will Kylie be able to keep her life from crumbling, or will a certain someone come along and sweep her off her feet?

High school in the early 90s: it was before cell phones and social media, but the problems were the same. How do you get the guy you're interested in to notice you? What happens if you fall in love with your best friend? Why does physics class keep factoring into your love life? This novella is loosely based on my own high school experiences... but sort of an alternate version of them. You can only make one set of choices in life, so it's fun to explore what could have been - but wasn't - in fiction. Also, set in 1991-92, this is kind of a period piece now! In some ways it's a love letter to the teen books I read back in the 80s and 90s, in particular those by Ellen Conford and Paula Danzinger. I hope you enjoy it.
