A girl named Melanie has always been lonely.

She lives alone in her apartment.

Eats alone.

Watches alone .

Cleans alone.

Reads alone.

Practically her life is full of 'alones'.

She doesn't have any family to care for her.

She doesn't have any friends to bond with.

But it doesn't bother her though.

Why?

Because she's numb.

She's emotionless.

Except for one thing.

Her own little fantasies.

When no one judges her.

When no one hates her.

When she's not alone.

When she feels like she belongs.

When she's loved.

When she has a mother, father, brother, sister in short a family.

When she's happy with all of her friends.

When she has a prince charming who would die for her.

Until he came.

The guy in her fantasies.

The prince he loves and loves her back.

The prince that would kill for her.

And again.

Until that happened.

They're just slowly fading.

Fading like dust in the air.

Leaves without a single trace.

And now, she's confusing what's real and what's a fantasy.

Her mind is messing up with her.

But one thing is for sure.

Two twin sisters drifted apart because of misunderstandings and screaming by there on family no less. Zan Cui the one with a dragon fate was seen as bad luck because she is a girl. So she was openly despised and raised to be a tool for her elder brother. Knowing this and also seeing her sister being loved and pampered by her family. She always felt bitter, but she never hated her sister for it. But when her sister moved into the royal palace and later married she never contacted her again. She felt betrayed and was very angry with her. But what she did not know was that her sister made a deal with the second prince that she would move into the palace to live with him and marry him when she came of age he would then send her sister an awakening pill. But what her sister did not know then was that the awakening pill would never reach her sister and that her husband would never allow her to see her sister again. Until one day when her husband used her sister and uncle as scapegoats. Seeing her beloved uncle being killed and her sister being next. She ran over and blocked the blow for her sister. Seeing this Zan Cui picked her up and ran away with her into the forest behind the royal palace. But they were never able to escape, so Zan Cui, picked up a treasure that she found. That would grant 1 wish for a price, she used it hoping that it would send them back before everything started.

She discovers that Alexandria has made a new friend, the young man with the injured spine, whose name, Irene learns, is Roy. A few days later, she is reassigned to work in another ward. Roy's ward. In her new post, she sometimes overhears the stories that he tells Alexandria and is drawn in. Over the course of the next few months, Irene develops a close relationship with her paralysed patient.
