"It was a mistake..." She told her mother, folding her hands into each other. "Marrying him..." Her mother said nothing, she simply sat there as her only daughter stood across from her, on the verge of collapsing from bruised ribs and cracked shins. "Mom." She wanted to reach out, softly tap her aging mother. Though that was the restriction of her life. The binding stereotype that she was gentle and slow to anger. In reality, what wanted to explode from her ribs was a scream of an animal, and the tears of repressed rage and fear. She wanted to throw her body onto the floor, but the thought made her damaged body ache more. There was no response from her mother. The deafening silence reminded her of her own quietness as her husband shouted at her, his fists bloody. He told her that she was only a tool for his amusement and a money-whore for her indigent family. She was nothing else but a tool for both parties. And she was starting to believe him. --------------------- Sarah Johnsen's life spirals from the normal gritty resilient fight to a serene wonderland. On the outside, she's married to a kind family with untold riches, but on the inside, her husband is the devil himself. This started as an entry for the Open Novella Contest, 2022. Unfortunately, I was having some medical difficulties (which I won't bore you with) and felt I needed to drop out after the first deadline. Shortly after taking up the story again, I realized that I was writing the same characters as those in my previous entry (ONC 2020), Thirteen Points of Light. So I did some quick editing and continued the story of Sarah and her box of magic matches. I'm trying really hard to make this a stand-alone story, but because I know the original story so well, I'm not entirely sure this one stands by itself. If you haven't yet, you may want to start with Thirteen Points and read them together as a single story. The story (this time around): Jared and Crystal's relationship is getting rocky. She inspected it, looking through before sighing heavily, "Isa no. There's too much broken glass. We gotta be normal apparently." My Backstage OTP couples-short stories
Hey guys! So I decided after watching all of season 2 on Netflix(if you haven't seen it yet, YOU MUST WATCH), that instead of doing a sad story follow up to my old story, I am going to create short stories every week based on my favorite OTP couples of the show!!! I know that some of you probably wanted a follow up and i'm sorry if this disappoints you but other than that, enjoy! P.S.-The couple i ship most on the show is Miles and Alya, so just a warning, there will be a lot of chapters about them...A LOT!!! P.P.S-depending on how many ideas i have and when i have them, a lot of these stories will be based on episodes from season 2, but they will not go in order. So don't freak out!Concluida

About three months into the outbreak of walkers, a young wounded girl stumbles upon an old motel. With an arrow in her back, and knowledge of the bandits that will fight to get supplies, who would kill such a valuable person? Even though the people living in the motel let her live there, no one said she was welcomed. Her only goal is to help people and find her sister. After realizing the truth of this new world, can she carry on surviving with these strangers? When the strangers need to relocate, how will this young girl part from the area that her sister may be in? This fanfiction is something I created one night based on what would happen if my sister and I were to join the people from the game. Hopefully it is somewhat entertaining? To a point at least? Although that day might have to come sooner than she'd like, everything starts to sink in as she decides to ignore her father and ask Vi what the countdown on the wall means. Casey doesn't really want to face the outside world, especially since her father seems so keen on staying until the end, but she also doesn't want to die in that building at the young age of twelve. All she finds herself doing is training, waiting, and hoping that something happens. So, when Rick Grimes and his group enter the CDC wanting help, it seems like her prayers were answered. Leaving the building and stepping into a walker-infested world after losing what's left of her family isn't the easiest thing to do, but she has a new group of people ready to help her. But still, something for the pain would always help, and the boy with the pretty eyes seems like a good enough distraction. SPOREFALL | ONC 2025
Three months ago, a thick, white powder covered the Earth overnight. Not snow, but spores, hundreds of spores, all from an unknown source. Those that came into contact with the substance became spore-touched: violent, uncaring, every one able to turn into plants hundreds of feet tall and rip apart the world itself. Three months ago, Mya lost her humanity, and with it, everything she knew. Not all at once, but every day is another memory gone, all washed over by new instincts, identities, and wants. In a city slowly being torn apart by the massive vegetation of her new kind, her options either to join their collective, or escape with what remains of herself, her days are spent surviving, and hiding amongst Humans. Humans that will burn her alive the second she's caught. The only thing she has is a water bottle and the goals of her former self, but the likelihood of achieving them in a post-apocalyptic world is bleak enough, and that's if she can still remember them by the end of the week. So when another spore-touched offers to take her to a supposed safe haven, all with the hope that they both can be turned back, she takes it. Not because this new companion seems like the most trustworthy person, not because they can promise to stop her from becoming a monster- She takes it because there's nothing else to choose.
