El diccionario del Diablo (The Devil's Dictionary en inglés) es una recopilación de 998
    definiciones formuladas en fórmulas asesinas, corrosivas y sin piedad para el género humano,
    escrito de 1881 a 1906 por Ambrose Bierce. Inicialmente, ha sido publicado en fragmentos en
    diversos periódicos durante más de veinte años, al finalizar se recopiló una versión completa en
    1911. El contenido buscaba diversos argumentos escritos a modo satírico. El libro fue
    conocido desde la Guerra de Secesión.
