Sapphire was abandoned by her rouge parents at birth and put into a human orphanage. She stayed in the orphanage until she reached the age of 5. The age were she would turn into her wolf. Jacob and Amanda were mates who couldn't have kids. When they adopted Sapphire they were looking to adopt a human child in hopes of the child growing up and accepting them as wolves.
When they found Sapphire they immediately knew she wasn't human herself. She stood out from the other human children due to her silver hair. Meaning that Sapphire would be a grey wolf explaining the reason she had been abandoned. Grey wolves are looked down on by every wolf. Sapphire grows to love Jacob and Amanda as her real parents and they love her as there child even though they had been raised not to care for a grey wolf. Which is why they don't live with a pack.
Before Sapphires last year of highschool her parents break the news to her that they will have to join a pack for there safety and leave there practically human life behind. Not just any pack the most feared pack of the wolf nation. Ruled by Alpha Kaydon. Alpha Kaydon has a cruel and to some unethical way of leading his pack. The 24 year old Alpha never imagined he'd find his mate but if he did could he accept her even if she was a 17 year old grey wolf.

Mort, is the Alpha for the Red Crimson pack and I am his Beta, Taragon.
