Landon Rivers is just an average teenager who, on his seventeenth birthday, inherits a gift known as Pure Sight from his deceased father.

Landon's gift doesn't come in the form of a gift bag or a box with wrapping paper and a bow; but, rather as a notebook and a supernatural way of seeing others. Landon can see the personalities of others by colors on their bodies, like auras.

Things get a bit messy when Landon meets Ruby Redwater, a curious and stubborn girl, who makes Landon's heart beat faster than a race horse. Landon is determined to devote his days to protecting Ruby from the people whose colors he can see are horrible. From the people who would do horrible things to her. However, sometimes his gift leads him in the wrong direction and things are never as they seem.

Will Landon be able to protect Ruby without losing her? Will he be able to risk his gift, and himself, to save her from the dangerous people he cares most about? Is love always enough?

I looked at him in shock, "How do you know that?" "I know a lot of things about you, Ms. Prior, even things you don't know yourself." Excuse me? "From what you can do," he paused giving me a look before directing his gaze back at the field. "To your eye color. Your parents have blue ones, so I don't see how that works." What? He continued without question, "You are still a mystery to us, as you have never showed any signs of power before, so it's sort of confusing." He paused for a few seconds them said, "You're different; you have an ability. You're a Supernatural." "Ok, I really need to go so..." I began walking back, but he stuck out his arm to block me. And that's when it happened. Flames rose on his arms, lighting them on fire. I backed up, feeling the heat radiate off his arms. I was in utter shock, yet he looked relaxed, amused even. "What the hell are you?" I jumped back, and the fire went out, a smirk rising on his face. "I'm just like you." ***** Kayla Prior has always been a popular girl, and everyone looks up to her. I fell for a boy with the kindest blue eyes, and a charming dimple. He made me feel loved, and cared for, and most importantly he made me feel safe in his presence. He came right in the middle of a tornadoe and managed to turn it into blue skies. He changed my perspective and gave me hope and strength." I looked at him, and he was smiling, and his eyes were a little glossy. He took my hand and kissed it, a small tear caught in the corner of his beautiful eyes. "I thought, hey, maybe life isn't so bad after all. Maybe I can finally allow myself to love and be loved, and to live life normally. When we went to your party, you told me to wait for you. But then your perverted cousin made me feel super uncomfortable, so I went looking for you, just to be able to feel at peace again. And that's when I saw it." My heart beats skyrocketed, because this was the moment everything changed forever. "Saw what?" Asked Axel. I took a deep breath, and continued. It's now or never. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Sophia Grace is a 25 year old Forensic Science major who recently started working as a cashier at her local grocery store - "The Corner Store". Landon O'Brien is the boy who laughs too loud, flirts too much, and never lets anyone see past the surface. At seventeen, he's mastered the art of making everyone think he's fine. Life at home with his single mam and two younger siblings is chaos wrapped in love and too much noise-but it's his noise. He's used to being the glue. The one who keeps the mood up. The one who makes sure no one ever asks what he needs. Then there's Hannah Brewer. Cold. Untouchable. Sharp enough to draw blood without even raising her voice. She's the girl who doesn't date, doesn't hook up, and doesn't believe in giving second chances when she never gave first ones to begin with. Her house is silent. Her parents are always gone. And she copes in ways no one ever sees-not even her best friend, Reese. The only person who keeps trying to get close? Landon O'Brien. The one person she can't stand. He jokes. She cuts. He shows up. She shuts down. They shouldn't work. And they don't. Not even a little. Until everything else around them starts to fall apart. Behind Landon's laugh is a weight he doesn't share. Behind Hannah's walls are scars no one sees. As the year unfolds-with parties, fights, and friends slowly falling apart-two people on opposite ends of everything start to realize they might be more alike than either of them wants to admit. As their world gets messier-fractured friendships, parties gone wrong, secrets cracking open-Landon and Hannah get pulled into the kind of orbit that can't be explained. Not with words. Not with logic. Just pain. And want. And something they don't have a name for yet. And others leave you crossing lines you swore you'd never touch.
