Alan isn't dead, but he isn't alive either. His parents, and the local authorities are quickly trying to find him.
The young boy wakes up but he is in a place that he has never been to. He is suddenly thrown into an odd world where spirits determine where one goes after death, either the various worlds of Heaven or Hell. But as the spirits tell Alan that he isn't dead nor is he alive, he must either wait on his future or go on a perilous journey to find the item to free his prison.
