"Wake up Val, don't you dare close your eyes" Natsu yelled as he gently placed her head on his lap.

"Valentina, don't leave us, we still have to go on many more adventures together" Happy sniffled as Darya, Valentina's exceed, curled up next to her best friend. Gray, who knelt next of her, along with the rest of her friends, watched her as she raised her hand towards him.

"I'm sorry.." she spoke softly and weakly as she placed her hand on Gray's cheek and wiped his tears with her thumb. She looked up at Natsu, as some tears streamed down her face.

"You'll be fine, now stop apologizing and hang in there" Natsu spoke angrily and frustrated. Valentina coughed and winced in pain, closing her eyes in the process.

"Wake up Valentina. You're not allowed to leave us!" he yelled, only making everyone else cry harder.

"I love you. All of you, always remember that." she opened her eyes one last time and looked at everyone. She closed her eyes one last time as she took her last breath.

"Wake up!" Natsu yelled as he shook her a few times, desperate to get a response. Gray pushed Natsu away from Valentina's body and held her close to him, the tears streaming down his face.

"She's gone..." he mumbled. "Just accept the fact that she's dead and we couldn't do anything to save her"
