Catrina (Cathy) Backer was running very low on money and would take any job to fill the missing gabs that were meant to be money. She was 28 years old and had jet black hair. She took up a job where she was basically a maid. The family she worked for paid her well but they were very unusual, they were the Collins. The head of the house named Barnabas was not married and had extremely pale skin for a human being but Cathy by past that.

When Cathy took up the job the last thing she was expecting to happen was to fall in love, to fall in love with a vampire at that.

Both Catrina and Barnabas had feelings for each other but never showed. Everyone in the Collins family knew how much they cared for each other but left them to it. One day they both expressed their love for one and other only for someone else to try and win his heart.
