Have you ever been locked in a cell? Like a legit cell, made of bars, with a little cot and a toilet. No? Well I have, I’ve been in the same cell for the past month, by my asshole of mate. Yeah, lets rewind a few weeks. ********** Kayden doesn't want a mate, she doesn't want to be tied down, she doesn't want someone to have any type of control over her. When her pack gets attacked one night, the alpha just picks her up and takes her home, like she's groceries. Then he puts her in a cell hoping she'll have a 'change of heart', but Kayden is stubborn, and she manages to escape. Mort, is the Alpha for the Red Crimson pack and I am his Beta, Taragon. He has recently found a mate and because of an accident that happened years ago after I found mine that caused her death, my punishment was that I would never have another mate. I accepted it as punishment for not protecting her at the time and caused her death. One day, the Alpha meets his mate and she happens to be a runt in one of the worst families of our kind.
