Nighthawks is a short story inspired by the painting Nighthawks by Edward Hopper.
 It's a story about a lonely man who has slipped into a cesspool of self hatred after loosing his job and feels as if his whole world has turned against him and he can't seem to find his way out. Although, with a close friend by his side, he realizes that life is not so bad after all.
