This is the story of the events that followed October 31st, 1981, when Sirius Black made the right decision.

Instead of following his instincts, and chasing after Peter Pettigrew, the traitor, Sirius took a deep breath, and saved his godson from years of abuse.

He took Harry to 12 Grimmauld Place, to be raised by himself and Remus Lupin, Harry's rightful guardians.
