"Sophia go home!" Mom yelled, about to pull the trigger.

"Mommy, I am not leaving you." I yelled back, not able to hold back tears.

"Sophia, if you knew what was best for you, you would go back home to your daddy." She turned around, tears evident in her eyes. Her eyes held sadness and something else.

"Mommy." I begged. I clung onto her arm.
She shook me off roughly before pushing me the opposite direction.

"Go!" She shouted, before turning back around.

I saw four burly men running towards us, each with bloody faces, torn up clothes, and guns.

Four gun shots was heard.

"Sophia I'm warning you one more time. Go back to our house!" She yelled.

My eyesight was blurry due to the tears. But nonetheless, I ran into the darkness. I turned around to see Mom struggling and losing to the men. She started to lay limp when they beat her up.

"Mommy!" I sobbed. I was ready to sprint to her but saw the four guys looking at me. The biggest men in the group whisper to his other guys, while looking at me. Two guys came towards me and shot the gun. I remember what Mom told me. Sophia, if you knew what was best for you, you would go back home to your daddy. So that's what I did; I ran till my feet were aching in pain.
