Greece. A place with a wide variety of not-so-worshipped-anymore gods and goddesses . A place everyone has wanted to go for vacation. Kids run through the streets and families enjoy the warm sun and light breeze.

That's when the plague struck.

People began to drop dead left and right so suddenly, that natives believed it was the work of the angered forgotten gods. A hidden American research facility beneath the Parthenon discovered that the beliefs were not far off. Yet what was killing them was not the gods, but a virus unlike any they have seen before. One so deadly that if one were infected by it, making it to the end of the day was physically impossible. It caused catastrophic organ failure and several other debilitating effects, leading to death in many within hours.

"Thanatifóros akrotiriasmós" the natives of Greece called it. Meaning "Deadly mutation", it later become known as the Thanatos Virus. Thanatos, as in the Greek god of death. Not all who contract it die, though. There is a one in fifty million chance of the infected surviving. Those who survive the infection later on progress to become "Inhuman". Their physical capabilities are pushed beyond their normal limits, allowing them to make perfect use of every muscle and bone in the body. Some may even experience mutations in their body, allowing them to possess unique abilities others can only fathom.

Guess who gets stuck in the middle of all of this crap? I know what you're thinking, "Who's dumb enough to go to Greece during this time?" Me. I'm that dumb. Thanks. Thinking of going to Greece? Don't. I learned that the hard way.
