"All Of The Stories Are True," Cassandra Clare.
A world were demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries, and invisible people exist. The Nephilim were created by Raziel to save the world from demons. To help the world out of chaos. It's up to the shadowhunters to decide, if the world lives or dies. It's up to the main characters if they will risk their lives, to save the world that hates them.
(I have changed this to a fanfiction because one: although I came up with the characters in my short story. Shadowhunters are not my idea. All credit goes to Cassandra Clare. Two: fantasy just wasn't feeling it for me. Three: I don't think I have a third reason.)

He basically lives his life on the saying, "Sed lex, dura lex." which means "The law is hard, but it is the law." They've known each other for practically their whole lives, and they have always felt a burst of emotions around one another, but with the arrival of the "new" shadowhunter, their whole world flips on its back. With everything that's going on around them, will they gain sight of the feelings they truly have for one another? Destiny. It was a funny thing. I had always thought that I could create my own destiny. But after attending my junior year at Nox Haven, I knew that wasn't possible. My destiny was written two hundred years before my birth, when my ancestor- The Dark Warlock- created a cult of Dark Ones. It was my destiny to rid the world of his mistake- but I didn't know how. That was the funny part, I knew what I had to do but I didn't know how. Nobody wrote that part of the prophecy. I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. "What are you doing in my land, human?" A deep enchanting voice spoke I sighed once again "I'm not human, just smell like one" I spoke as I turned around to see the most stunning man I have ever seen "Mate" he spoke "Find another female, Lycan" I spat He only growled at me in response. Men. My brother was the same way. It's kinda funny how all, correction, most shifter men think alike. I would've thought he would be different, after all, he is Lycan. Something of myths. But then again, so are the supernatural. I turned away from him, not even looking at him. I didn't want to remember what he looked like so I didn't give him a second glance. I heard him move closer. I quickly grabbed the knife out of my holster and threw it at a tree next to him. He stops moving then. "Heed my warning. It's the only one you'll get" I spoke coldly "I will find you. Then you will have no escape from me" he spoke as he backed away I could understand. Lycans, like lion-shifters, were going extinct. Therefore mates were even more important to them. But, even if I understood I still didn't want to be someone's mate. They're just myths in story books. Tales about bloodthirsty Vampires to scare children. Stories of Werewolves to keep the Children of Angel's inside on a full moon. Fictional Faeries to keep the Shadowhunter's away from attractive Mundanes (not that that stopped Jace). No-one believes these stories are true. Especially not Alec. Yet.
