The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smackdown
I've decided to jump into the latest smackdown hosted by LayethTheSmackDown and Ooorah. This is where I'll be posting my entries. It's been fun and challenging doing these in the past and it's good motivation to churn out some stories. I haven't managed to win one yet, but in a way that's beside the point. Hopefully I can last a few rounds, but if not, that's okay, too. Good luck to all who decide to participate!
An Infinity of Stars - SF Smackdown
Science Fiction / Short Story : Evolution never stops, the races of man have changed, have fought bitter wars and built cities on the moon. But where can they go next? The only limit is your own imagination... This short compilation of stories was done for a Science Fiction Smackdown in the Pub - I won =] Each story was done for a different round, each having a different premise and challenge.Abgeschlossen
SmackDown: Back to Our Roots
Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple. It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition. But there's gotta be some kind of twist, right? For this one we're waxing nostalgic, we're looking back into our past. We're going back to our roots.Abgeschlossen
Tevun-Krus #70 - Punk Wars II
Three years ago we created a new concept: Punk Wars! Where two (or more) sci-fi -Punk sub-genres collide in one science-fiction story. Now we're back at it again. That's right, we're returning to the Punk Wars, 'troopers! Ooorah!Abgeschlossen

The Science Fiction RL Experience
[NEW] Welcome! We're thrilled to announce that the Sci-Fi team is releasing a series of challenges, activities, and stories for the next 15 days to help rejuvenate our community. The Science Fiction Experience will include top tier challenges, mind-boggling discussions, awesome games, and so much more. "Readers familiar with that genre [science fiction] have met the spaceship, the alien, and the mad scientist before. They know more about them than the writer does." -- Ursula K. Le Guin This piece is meant to offer a taste of the science fiction experience-a glimpse into the genre that we hope you'll enjoy. At the very least, we hope it inspires you to check out our Science Fiction Reading List if you haven't already!Abgeschlossen
