Because these people are born with a soulmate. If you are one of these "lucky" people, you will be born with 1/2 of a faint tattoo on the inside of your wrist. As you get older it will gradually get darker and larger. Once you finally meet your soulmate the other half will appear.
I, Gabriella Rose Smith, happen to be one of those so called "lucky" people. By the use of quotations I've hoped you've picked up on the fact that I don't believe I'm lucky to have someone I have to be with forever.
