"No matter how hard they try, they will never know me. Why can't they see that?"
As Jackson's health rapidly deteriorates, so does his brother's happiness. Only a few months earlier, Shane Walter was on top of the world...literally. His band, Skyline, sent teenage girls around the world into a frenzy with every breath they took, Hollywood's most loved group since The Beatles had a fanbase bigger than the world could handle.
A forced smile fools a lot of people. Shane learned that pretty quickly.
But as his brother's health crumbles, so does Shane's smile, no matter how forced it was before. Things stopped having any meaning to him. The fans? Music? Having a life in general? Jackson came before them all. It didn't matter to Shane that he was neglecting the people that could help him, could make him smile again. It didn't matter to him that if he lost them, he would have nothing.
After yet another of Shane's infamous temper tantrums, a plan was formed to bring back the boy he used to be:
One month. No fame, no fortune. No nothing.
Tessa Cate, on the other hand, had everything she needed: her family, friends, and guitar. She didn't want or need anything else. Her home in small town Texas was enough for her. She didn't need the lights, the flashing signs, the fame; she didn't need any part of Hollywood, no matter how small.
So, of course, she got the biggest part the world had to offer, a member of the world's most famous boy band.
A bratty, spoiled, boy band member, at that.

BIG CHANGES AND EDITING TAKING PLACE - BEAR WITH ME SOME THINGS MIGHT CHANGE
This is a FAN FICTION if you do not want to read the fiction version is on my profile
The greater the power, the more dangerous the abuse.
They say that when you fall ill, you can't imagine how it had felt to be fit and healthy again. The memories disappear and all that you are left with is the pain and the feelings of being helpless, like your life is merely just hanging on the edge of a thread.
If you compare it, I felt like that after the year of abuse I had endured, I couldn't remember how it felt not to be hit and shoved around. I couldn't remember how if had felt to not be covered in bruises or to have scrapes and cuts that sting. I was frightened every second of every single day. I feared what I would have to say, each word would be like gasoline to the fire that would inevitably explode sooner rather than later.
At first, I loved him, I would gladly jump in front of a bus for him, but when the love-struck puppy disappeared and my vision was no longer clouded by sweet gestures and expensive gifts, I saw him for who he truly was. A cold, heartless man that thrived off the hurt and anguish of others, and when I finally discovered who the person I fell in love was, it was too late to leave.
Skye Talbot was nothing near a normal girl.
Her 'boyfriend' was part of the town's most dangerous and feared gangs. She didn't know how she got dragged into the lifestyle of drugs, sex and crazy fights, but she was starting to get used to it.
Little did she know it was soon to all change.
A mysterious group of five boys come to the school and turn it upside down. Turning them into the ones others should fear. When one of them takes an interest in her, all hell breaks loose between the two gangs.
Who will she choose?
Whose lives would be risked in the process?
