Lainey Lee has played as a Beater in Quidditch for nearly four years, so it's no surprise that when Lainey transfers from Ilvermorny to Hogwarts Academy for her fifth year, she quickly makes the team. Self-assured with plenty of direction, the year was supposed to pass breezily for her.

But when Lainey suffers a serious head injury from a particularly rough match, and many of her memories consequently disappear, including the line distinguishing friend from foe and right from wrong that she had so clearly observed before. 
Panicked and lost, Lainey unexpectedly turns to the last person that the old her would have for help and guidance.

That person?
A Slytherin by the name of Draco Malfoy.
