13 men and women are on a vacation site on a man-made island, just off the coast of Japan. Serenity Vallete and Jackson Hamel are two of the men and women. Coming from England and taking a vacation in Japan, everything runs normally until something drops on Serenity's head, causing her to lose some of her memories. While hiding her amnesia she finds out she's at a hotel and meets with the other guests while silently trying to piece her situation together. That is all unfortunately thrown out the window when some Deadman Wonderland-looking fool in a mask takes over all the hotel TVs and forces everyone outside to reveal there's been a murder. But it's not just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill murder - it's a murder game & Serenity, Jack and the rest are all now in it. He introduces himself as GM (Game Master) and lays out the rules. They have no choice but to play along or be killed.
