Destiny. Thea Lane has lived her life with strict goals in mind, a passion for her dreams to come true and the most stubborn head when it came to her decisions. Thea has spent the last four of her twenty-seven years working for the Boston Celtics as a team scout and the last eight years living away from home. Finally, after four years, Thea will be coming back. Axel Ambrose is a pure athlete, playing football on scholarship at the University of Washington. All Axel can focus on is preparing for this year's NFL Draft. Axel hasn't seen Thea in four years after she left to Boston and rarely visited, but when he did know her, he knew her as his best friend's older sister. Thea was everything Axel ever wanted and as a seventeen-year-old boy, he had developed feelings that were glaringly obvious and Thea always had a soft place for Axel in her heart. But that was four years ago, times have changed, and Axel isn't the love-struck little boy he once had been. So when Christmas approaches, Thea is forced to go back to her roots and see the person she's been trying to avoid and the memories she wishes to forget.

✨ When memories fade, only the heart remembers what's truly ours.✨ Emery Hawthorne wakes up in a sterile, unfamiliar room with no memory of who she is-or how she got there. All she knows is that her past has been wiped away. Her family, her life, even her own name are lost to her, leaving behind a haunting emptiness. She's been brought to Solara Academy, a place designed to train the Chosen Ones-those with extraordinary powers. But it doesn't feel like a school. It feels like a cage. And the more time she spends there, the stronger the feeling that something is terribly wrong. Roman's name lingers in her mind, a whisper in the darkness, though she can't remember why. There's a pull between them, something deep and undeniable, but he's a stranger to her now. What she doesn't know is that Roman holds the key to her past, to the memories they've shared-and lost. Their bond was erased to protect them both, but Roman can't shake the feeling that the love they shared was too strong to forget. As Emery struggles to piece together the truth, she discovers the academy hides darker secrets than she could have ever imagined. And the closer she gets to uncovering the truth, the more dangerous it becomes for everyone she loves. In a world where power is everything, can Emery remember who she is and the love she's meant to fight for? Or will the secrets of the academy tear them apart forever?
