When California Richards unexpectedly awakes from a three-month coma, she's greeted by the discovery that she's lost parts of herself. Her memory loss is irregular and unpredictable, and while she's able to remember scattered details of her life, her memory of how to do many things is gone. Despite her free-spirited mother's unwavering support, the only one who seems to be able to help California regain herself is her young roommate's brother Eli. As they grow closer, something else blooms between the two -- something that neither is willing to acknowledge.
