The wind whipped past her golden curls that chased behind her in a tangled mess. Her steps echoed loudly through the silence as she thumped through the woods as though the devil himself was at her heels. 

The adrenaline pumping through her veins held back the pains of the sharp cuts that the unmerciful wood grounds had tattooed on her bare feet. The branches danced along her fair flawless skin creating a pattern of it's own as it ripped through her plain white chemise which now spotted streaks of red and brown. The flimsy material, now drenched in sweat clung fiercely to her body like a second skin outlining every dip, every edge and every curve......

Her beating heart echoed through the silence in her head but she could still hear the growls of the beast that had been pursuing her relentlessly. My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.

"Take your clothes off," he said gruffly as he strode towards me. Caught of guard I took a fumbling step backward and stammered, "Wh-What?" "Take off your clothes," he demanded again as he stripped his wet T-shirt away and placed it on a set of three large black metal hooks that lined the wall. He turned back to me glaring and strode towards me stopping so that my face was only centimeters from the fine black hair that covered his immaculate chiseled chest that led down to model worthy abs. His jeans hung low on his body, showing of the V shape of his hips that women lusted after. "I'm not going to have you ruining my home with your muddy wet clothes. Now take them off or I will," he stated bluntly eyeing me harshly.

They itched to touch her skin, bury our face in her hair, to feel its softness and inhale its sweet scent. They wanted to stare into her night eyes. She needed to be theirs. ---- Eska's eyes found Shade quickly. He pushed through crowd, pulling his jacket off and threw it to the stocky blonde at his side. She spoke in low frantic words. He ignored her and climbed in the ring. Shade tugged his shirt over his head and Eska's heart skipped. This man was built like a bear. Shade's physique was reminiscent of strong man instead of a body builder. His pectorals were covered in a fine swath of dark hair that trailed down his belly disappearing into his jeans. Jeans that hugged his thighs tightly, thighs like a rugby player. Shade looked towards her quickly, a smirk filling his face, sharp canines peaking beneath his lips. He wasn't human, but she wanted him regardless.

Causing an image of me running my hands over her unblemished porcelain skin to pass through my mind. Even though I knew she was scared, she held her head high and refused to show fear to the men in the clearing, both vampire and werewolves alike. She's the offering I will accept, no one else is worthy of this goddess , no one else will touch her perfect skin or I'll rip their fucking hands off.
