So many thoughts were running through my mind as Liam and I stood there, face-to-face, ready to do something that could escalate my like for him or even change his perspective of me in a good or bad way. A wave of heat flooded my entire body as Liam drew me closer and closer, firmly sealing the gap between us. Oh God. This is it. "No! I don't wanna hear a damn thing you gotta say. You betrayed me!" I said as I snatched my arm away and stormed out without turning back. I got into my car and looked at the scratch in the mirror. As Monte trailed behind me, I quickly pulled out the parking lot and sped home. When I got home, the neighbor was outside on the porch again. He waved, but I couldn't find the strength to wave back and ran into the house before I completely broke down. As soon as I closed the door, I slid to the floor and cried my eyes out. About 5 minutes later, there was a knock on the door. I stayed where I was, thinking it was Monte outside. "Miss?" I heard from the other side of the door. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. An Endless Day
"Alright, it's 12 noon. Deal or not?" I couldn't look at him, so I stared at the beauty in front of me. Somehow I knew he was watching it too. I felt like we were characters of a famous story, standing side by side, gazing ahead. I hesitated, my heart was beating fast, I was almost afraid that he's going to hear it too. But for the first time in my life, I trusted my heart and told my brain to go to hell. The girl lead in this story was going to do what she wanted, and won't fear the consequences. "Let's do this." I said and turned towards him. We remained silent for a couple of moments, absorbing the meaning of the deal we just agreed to. And then I saw his lips turned upwards just enough for me to notice. He turned to me and held my hand. I felt several emotions just by touching him. Nervousness, excitement, fear, happiness all at once. I pushed them all aside, and smiled ear to ear. He held his hand up, counting down to three, my heart racing with every finger he raised. And just as he finished, we jumped off the cliff.Complete
