"Looks like you're stuck with me" his voice made my muscles tighten and I cringed at the thought of having to spend the night. "No, Lucas, I can drive myself home". "Are you crazy? In this weather? No matter how much you hate me I could never let you outside. If something happened to you I could never forgive myself..." his voice trailed off as he evaluated the mess he had made. He knew he got carried away. Soon I felt his bright blue gaze on me as he took in the bruises, the bleeding, the running mascara. His stare softened, "Oh, Beth, what have I done?"

Lucas and Beth have dated for years, but when his abuse gets out of hand, she resorts to stay with her Best friend, Owen, and his roommates. When Lucas keeps reappearing into her life, Beth has to decide what to do, and who to choose.

"I may not remember much, but I do know that I had the best time with you last night." Charlie drops his hand from his mouth and lifts his head to stare into my eyes, pushing his hair back from his face at the same time. "And I know this is awkward now, because I'm pretty sure we were both naked together in bed last night..." I choke on air, trying to dispel the imaginary object from my throat. Charlie reaches out and lightly grasps my hand; my eyes slide from our interlocked fingers to his shining pupils. "...but I still wouldn't change a single thing about it. So, I really do look forward to hearing from you later, Kaiydeen." It's like I've been taken hostage by his electric stare. I don't want to look away. I never want to look away. The busy noises of the street and the honking of the traffic fade as I lose focus, nothing strong enough to force my attention away from this boy. Finally, Archer loudly clears his throat as he flings his door open and plops into the car with a huff, breaking the trance between the two of us. I look away as I withdraw my hand from his grasp, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. This is going to be a long 6 months. ●●● Kaiydeen has always known what she wanted, more like who, but she never knew exactly how to get it. So she's complacent with biding her time until it, actually he, comes to her; no matter how long that takes. But then one day she crashes into someone she doesn't expect. Someone that has always had an eye for her, and he isn't satisfied with biding his time until she's his. But when the one person she's always wanted admits he wants her, too, she's forced to make a choice. Should she go for the boy she just met or the boy she's always known? There is some use of mature language in this story, so if your eyes are innocent and you want them to stay that way this might not be the story for you. Credit to @slueths for the incredible cover!!

Lauren Jules, her twin sister Miranda, and their best friend Jake all grew up together in their own little world. Just three kids having the time of their lives. And then came the summer that changed everything. It was the summer Lauren fell in love with her best friend. It was the summer her family broke apart and she grew up. It was the summer Jake left. Now five years later, Jake is moving back and Lauren is determined to keep her guard up against the boy who stole her heart years ago. But Lauren's not the only one with something to hide, Jake seems to be fighting some demons of his own. His past has changed him from the happy-go-lucky kid he was, to a reckless guy with a smirk for a smile. And he's driving Lauren insane. ****** Excerpt from That Summer "Well I'm surprised," he drawled huskily, playing with a strand of my hair. "You acted like a natural last night." Oh. My. God. What did that even mean? He chuckled at my deer-in-headlights expression. There was no way I would not remember losing my virginity to Jake. Hell, I'd memorize every second of it. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly, my stomach doing somersaults. Please tell me I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion. Pretty please. "Well," he started, a gleam in his eyes. "First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.

"Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, that I wish I'd never met you?" She said with a shakey breath. Her smile grew as she laughed at herself painfully through her tears. "And to think....I actually trusted you..." She said in a hurt voice. She was shaking from the cold weather and the cold rain pouring down on her tonight. "I'm sorry..." He spoke in a sorry tone. She shook her head and covered her mouth with her hand because she couldn't stop sobbing. She should've seen this coming from him. "Y-You're sorry?" She asked. "Really..." She said sarcastically. "Look I-" He started. "I-I dont want to here it..." She managed out walking away in the cold rain.
