This is a complete rewrite of "Magic Within". I actually decided to scrap that and start anew. Honestly, I like this one way better. It's better written, I fixed the problem with the story's plot line (there was one thing I couldn;t fit in smoothly on paper) and I changed the names into something I like more. Hope you guys like it.

Jaye Peltier never really believed in things like magic. She never believed in things like the tooth fairy, dragons, or those little gnomes that steal your left sock. It wasn't that she was a strange little girl, rather, it seemed to make her dad uncomfortable. But one day, her dad doesn't come back from work, and Jaye is forced to move in with her crazy aunt in Bar Harbor Maine. There, she starts seeing things that don't look....right. One day, she follows a strange looking firefly and ends up tumbling into a place that puts her pragmatic view of the world to question. Will she be able to survive in this new world long enough to get back home, or will she fall victim to the hands of a desperate king?All Rights Reserved

Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress. Maybe one day she'll remember who she was and maybe she'll even find the one person that completes her soul. From that day forth she became a Nightwalker. Completed. But still, she longs to return to her home, to find if any more of her people survived the attack on their home. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future.
