"Dreams. Everyone human has them. Some believe in them. Some think it's a pigment of their own imaginations. It's soothing to see yourself in a beautiful world. And it leaves you full of hope when you wake up. But there are days when you won't have these sweet dreams. No more beautiful worlds with bright sunsets, sweet flowers and rainbow bridges. Instead, you see pain, horror, gore and darkness. They wake you with a fright and leave your bed wet with sweat. And these are known..........as nightmares. In the afternoon sunlight, the younger man's hazel irises brightened into a beautiful, golden honey-brown. Jasper was speechless for a few split seconds, until he managed to make his mind work out what to say next. "We're a team. That means no man gets left behind. I'll come back for you, I promise." ________________________ Killian-Grey has survived on his own for five months since the world was taken over by the dead. Desperation drives him to accidentally stealing somebody's food. A plea for help after being stabbed is answered by Jasper Adachi, an ex-military soldier determined to save the innocent and bring Killian back to the safety of his group. The two make an unlikely pair, but soon realize their survival may depend on one another more than they had initially thought. When the time comes, will Killian join Jasper's group, or wander out on his own once again? The dead are dangerous, but the living are cruel. If the two are to survive, they'll need to learn to get along and stick together. Will they work as a team, or become one of the dead?
